Mesh is the first dark beer we have released since May 2020. It was made from a blend of three dark beers produced in July 2020 and March 2021. Each one was made by way of a traditional turbid mash, with the addition of a variety of dark malts. Each wort underwent an extended boil with the addition of aged German Hersbrucker hops from the 2013 harvest. Fermentation took place in French and American oak barrels for an average of 18 months. Blending produced a smooth, lightly tart and surprisingly full bodied beer with a subtle chocolate and roast finish. The blend was dry-hopped with whole leaf Columbus from the latest 2021 harvest, lending resiny and peppery aromatics.

0,75l bottle at home. Bottled 04/2022. Almost black color, medium big tan head. smells berry notes, spices, oak, herbal, toffee. Nice to very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes toffee, roasty, earthy, blackberry notes, black currants, bit smoky, spices, tobacco, peppery. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of blackberry notes, earthy and spices. Usually this is not my kind of style, but this one is actually quite nice. Very good to drink

75cl Bottle. Shared with Chocolate Joseph and SirAlex. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Dark fruity and vinous. A scent of tartness , wood and roast. Quite sippable and likeable blending fairly well in.

Bottle. Mills online. Cola brown. Sturdy beige foam. Nose has new leather. Oak. Vinous notes. Whiff of smoke. Some well done granary crust. Taste is tart and dry, with a smoky sweetness. Plenty of body here with a juicy tartness. Foamy carbonation. Gets vinous and oaky on the finish. Nice one.
