Bottle at home shared at the friendly Friday tasting. 25/06/2021. From Cloudwater online.. A thick oily dark black brown coloured pour with a reluctant dark tan head. Aroma is super rich woody, fruit cake, raisin loaf, brown sugars, grape. Flavour is composed of thick cakey malts, dried fruits, fruit cake, leather, some portsoaked berries, Warming smooth alcohol,. Palate is thick and chewy, mellow carbonation.

25th June 2021 Tasting at Fergus gaff. Thanks to Fergus. Opaque black brown beer, no real head. Palate is fairly smooth, mildly dry and has just a touch of viscosity. Reasonable fine carbonation, fine for this beer. Rich chocolate laden malts, trace of caramel. Light but pleasing Port Barrel, berry liqueur coming through. Whisper of dry barrel and a mild alcohol spice on the fairly light finish. Seductive.

Taste is chocolate, fudge, jammy red fruit, dried fruit, coffee, nuts, lots of the port barrel on the finish. Superb
