Imperial Porter, 19°, 7% ABV
Tento imperiální porter pasuje měrou vrchovatou k atmosféře Vánoc; k jejich teplu, tmě, klidu, rozvaze a sklonu k usebrání se. Prací s anglickými slady jsme dosáhli výrazných tónů hořké čokolády a oříšků. Pivo jen mírně chmelené, sladší, jemné, s barvou temně hnědou a duší sváteční. Pohodlně se usaďte a rozjímejte.

Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toffee, fudge, some toasted tones with mild wooden and coffee tones. Flavour is coffee, nuts, some roasted tones and mild ashes with a bit toasted toffee too.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours nearly clear coffee brown with small off-white head. Clear atoma of coffee, with touches of malt and yeast, and hints of spice. Bitter flavour of roast and alcohol, with malty and estery notes, and touches of caramel, cloves, and cinnamon. Boozy and cinnamonlike aftertaste with roasty touches. Interesting. Not bad, just suspiciously boozy for the ABV.

Draught at Skaal Sønderborg. Liquorice and burnt plastic aroma. Very dark brown colour, seems hazy. Small light brown head. The flavour has a lot of raw liquorice. Slightly salty. I do not know why they would call it something with Christmas cookies, because to me it tastes more like a decent cough syrup. Still good, though. I used to like cough syrup.

On tap at Sibeeria, pours a murky dark muddled brown with a small white head—doesn’t look promising. Aroma has dry toasted malt and some earthiness—pretty subdued aromatics for an imperial, even a 7% one. Flavour is fairly laid-back, with toasted malt, a touch of caramel, and bready malt. Restrained palate, not a huge amount of depth, lightly sweet finish. Nothing wrong with it but leaves plenty to be desired.

6.1.2025. Tap at Sibeeria Taproom. Medium body, med-light carbonation. Lots of caramelly, bready, toasted maltiness. Medium chocolatey element. Malt heavy and in a good way. Decadent, tasty, very good sipper. 8,0.

Can from Pivny Raj, Mlynske Nivy. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, nougath, chocolate, earthy hops, light coffee. Taste is coffee, dark malt, chocolate malt, nougath, earthy hops. Surprisingly quite strong alcoholic feeling in mouthfeel.

0,5l can from Yeme Nivy. Head is big, tanned, good retention. Colour is dark brown. Aroma is dark malts, nutty, chocolate, cocoa, dark fruits, coffee. Taste is full malty base, chocolate, nutty, cocoa, dark dried fruits, dry on the palate, dark bread crust, nice balanced harmonic bitterness, medium carbonation, very good l fully enjoyed.
