Imperial Marzipan Whisky Pastry Stout

As its name already suggests, it is a beer with added whiskey and adjuncts, more precisely, an imperial marzipan whiskey pastry stout. And yes, it is quite certain that you have never tried such a thing before!

The malt base is a mixture of pilsner ans special malts typical for the stouts, which English yeast pushed up to a higher 10.5% alcohol.
Whiskey, marzipan and lactose were added to the beer, and there was also a bittering hop that gave the beer 55 units of bitterness for the balance.

Can from somewhere. Shared with the Trnkas and Honza from Sibeeria Taproom. Black body, off-white head. Bit tart dusty black malt aroma, dried fruit some alcohol along with the roast. Roasty dark malt taste, sweetish though, dried fruit, light barrel, alcohol. Oxidized to be fair overall, ut that's partly my fault for aging it. +0.1 for aging it.

BBT southern edition may. Many thanks to Croatian crew. Deep dark brown color with beige head. Pleasant aroma of dark malt, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, light dark malt, nougat. Taste is sweet with lactose, marzipan, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, burning alcohol. Could be also less sweet.

BBT southern edition, beers given to us by Croatian crew, many thanks. Full body, med-high carbonation. High bitterness, medium alco warmth, rounded, but intense nevertheless. Med-light sweetness. Lots of chocolate, medium coffee, whisky, light tobacco, woody. Lactose present and more than needed, contributing to a candyish toffeeish feeling. I would skip lactose here altogether, a bit clashing with the whisky feeling. Overall quite rich, intense, quite good, but not entirely great.

Can at BBT southern edition. Malty aroma and taste, malty aroma and taste, chocolate, light coffee, ash, whisky notes, marzipan, alcohol, medium bitter, light sweet. Full body, malty choco marzipan bitter sweet finish with warming alcohol notes. Good.

Canned 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, light marzipan and whisky in the nose. Light roasted malt, chocolate, mild whisky and lactose with descreet marzipan. Some alcohol in the finish.

Auch bei Saperlot haut man ein schweres 🪨 schwarzes Bier raus. Dieses ist mit Marzipan verfeinert, das allerdings sehr im Hintergrund 😶‍🌫️ bleibt und den Whiskynoten 🥃 reichlich Platz lässt. Wer Marzipan erwartet wird wohl enttäuscht, aber sonst ist es durchaus ein interessantes, volles Bier.
