Some folks on the East Coast like to pair hotdogs and papaya together, but in the PNW we prefer our papaya served with passionfruit and vanilla. Perhaps that is a debate best left for another time. For now, Double Papaya Shake freshies are coming at ya! The always strong and certainly sour shake beers are usually made with Oregon berries, but this batch has some very lush papaya and tart passionfruit to switch things up a little. The trick to the shake beers is to smooth everything out with some rich vanilla flavor. Maybe it’s that 9% abv, or the quasi exotic fruit, but we think this shake has some big tropical cocktail energy going on.
Note: Initially 8.5%.

Can, thx to someone who shared it with Krpan. Shared with AJ who wouldn't even try it after smelling it, hah. Hazy golden body, off-white head. Huge aroma, papaya and powdered sugar, likely heaps of lactose. Weird sweet-tart fakeish-seeming papaya + sugar/lactose taste. Just so intensive, feels wrong, tastes wrong. Still, glad to have tried it!

No head on an orange coloured still body. Dettol, weed & tropical fruit aroma. Medium bodied, sharp & short on the back. Tropical fruit, bitter, citrus & chalky tastes. Poor.
0,473 litre Can, from a trade. Cloudy reddish Dark Golden? With white head. Malts, hops, papaya, vanilla, sweetness, tart.

16oz can pours out hazy orange topped with a small fizzy head. Nose is tart tang notes lots of papaya and some cream. Taste is more of the sour tart tang notes citrus and papaya.
