Cask @ Abbey Inn, Kinloss 131212
Light copper brown, clear, thin white head, good lacing
Aroma - caramel malts, toffee malts, light nose
Taste - caramel malts, rich toffee malts, soft sweet malts, some dark fruits, quite a rich flavour
Palate - medium body, fairly oily texture. Finish - lingering soft bitter hops, fairly sweet rich toffee malts, some fruity bitterish English hops coming through and a touch of digestive biscuit, some dryness
Overall - This is a decent bitter - it was in very good condition which no doubt helped

Cask-conditioned at the Cat & Wheel, Bristol 21/04/09. Deep amber with a frothy, off-white head. Big malty aroma of caramel and chocolate - think a Mars bar in a glass. That being the case, the spicy hop finish was rather strange. Certainly not boring.

Cask. Slightly hazy, deep amber colour with small beigeish bubbly head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild sweet wooden notes. Flavour is caramel malts, with some fruity bitter hops and also slight wooden and herbal notes.

Cask gravity at Ashford Rugby Club BF 2007. Hazy red copper colour. Sweet malt aroma. Not unpleasant but not my kind of thing. ESB style with strong fruity malt and pepper hop on the end.
