Fermented with Belgian ale yeast, then aged in a Spanish Rioja red wine barrel for nine months with a rather diverse culture of Brettanomyces and other microbes. Funky and very lightly sour.

Bottle, via the brewery online shop. Copper colour. Light haze. Thin and dense, lasting, semi lacing bright white head. Handsome. Nose has wine dregs. Light brett. Tobacco leaf. Spicy hop leaf. Some orange and lemon peel. Taste has some fruity sweetness, with a slightly tangy, woody bitterness. Light to medium body. Fine carbonation. Quite oily. Minimal acidity. Light bitter finish. Very decent, albeit not too complex. Nice barrel character, but finishes a little thin overall.
