Cask at the Fleece inn, Penwortham. Pours clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of corn, faint herbs. Taste is thin, more cereal grains, faint herbs. Pretty forgettable. (See what I did there? It’s a blonde moment joke. Because obviously intelligence is linked to hair colour. They’re not being sexist or anything.)

(Cask at Gallow’s Bird Real Ale Festival ’15) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sweetness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were something medicine like, spiciness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had solvent and bitterness. Decent aroma and very unpleasant taste.

Cask @ Gallows bird, real ale festival 2015. Amber colored, thin white head. Sweet corn aroma, grainy. Flavor has similar things going in. Corn overdose. Bad bad.

Cask @ Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2015
Aroma has weird, artifical fruit candy tones, some toffee and caramel. Also some cereal and floral tones. Flavour is rather artifical with candy, toffee, cereal, menthol and apricot. Menthol gets stronger in the finish. Rather unusual with all the artifical tones, but I like this at some level anyway.

Cask @ Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2015
Pours clear orange with a smooth head. Aroma of grainy malts, toffee, caramel, candy and hints of grass. Taste is sweetish, stingy and grainy with notes of grass and lemon. Finish is sweetish and grainy with hints of raw earthy notes and grass. Feels a bit unbalanced.

Cask gravity at Berry Walmer. Not sure about this. It’s an ok golden ale with some light soft fruit flavour. Settles down a bit.
