Tap at Split Craft Fest / SMASH Homebrew Competition 2024. Red-amber body, off-white head. A light green apple touch over a soft, grainy caramelly aroma, dried red fruit and some alcohol. Imperfect but showing promise. Lean, soft caramelly taste, lightly earthy, bit minerally, some orange and herbal notes. Nice overall, a pleasant bock that's just slightly rough along the edges.

Bottle, 0.5l. Cloudy deep amber pour, one finger creamy off-white head, medium retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Malty nose, toasted caramel, ripe fruits, molasses. Medium body, lively carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, fizzy, slightly chewy, smooth. Bittersweet taste, more on the sweet side, bitterness lingering in the background. Aroma of toasted caramel, brown sugar, molasses. Ripe fruits, raisins. Wood notes, liquory, drying alcohol. Medium lasting finish, dry, bitter, liquory. Good but slightly unbalanced.
