Tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam, 16th July 24. Pours black and thick. Smells like a chocolate and vanilla shake for sure. Taste follows, but it’s too sweet for my palate

Can from the brewery. Pours semi-Guinness - very dark brn/blk with a very dark tan head that quickly fled. Aroma of vanilla, coffee, dark malt, whiskey. Full bodied. Flavor of bourbon, vanilla, dark malt, heat, coffee, chocolate. Not dry. Not sticky. Bitterness from malt and heat I'd say. There's a vanilla caramel aspect in it. With time there is some wood/oak astringency. NIce.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy where it exhibits a deep dark black body that has infrared edges and supports a tiny tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark chocolate covered marshmallow, booze and then chocolate infused fresh vanilla bean goodness. Oh my. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet rich dark chocolate blended into fresh vanilla depth. Nice. Another sip reveals another load of dark chocolate as well as pleasantly restrained boozy barrel notes. Yet another sip feels like bourbon German chocolate cake goodness. Wow. This is nicely balanced and restrained. Damn
