Poured from a 16 oz can dated March 08, 2024.
Aroma is chocolate brownie batter with lots of chocolate and vanilla notes. Some lighter roast notes with some toffee and caramel notes. Light coffee notes..Light bourbon and medium light alcohol notes. Hints of oak.
Pours jet black with a medium small, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers a bit before disappearing. Light lacing and sheets for legs.
Flavor is rather sweet with lots of chocolate malt notes along with some lighter roast, caramel and toffee notes. Medium bitterness and medium alcohol notes. Lots of vanilla notes. Medium light bourbon and faint oak notes. Light coffee notes that become more pronounced as it warms.
Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid BA imperial stout. Tons of vanilla work well with lots of chocolate, caramel and toffee notes. Lighter bourbon notes compliment the beer well.

Very dark brown. So much vanilla and wafer flies out of the glass and smacks you in the face. Some coffee, but this is a fairly unsubtle beer. On the palate, the balance is really good though. Coffee, some barrel, alcohol, all of which smacks up against the over the top vanilla character. It's a weird mix of refined vs unrefined.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Jet black pour. Frothy tan head. Aromas of dark roasted malt, mocha and vanilla bean. First sip yields notes of bittersweet chocolate, warming alcohol in middle, vanilla and espresso. Rich and luxurious. Notes of bourbon and oak appear as the brew warms. This is a big, brash brew with tons of flavor and complexity.

473ml can, 2024 rebrew "From the Archives" edition, canned 8th March 2024.
Pours pitch black with a thin dark brown head.
Aroma dominated by vanilla, plus chocolate, coffee, bourbon.
Taste is again dominated by sweet creamy vanilla, rich coffee and chocolate, bourbon, oak, and some pretty warming boozy notes, roasty bitterness.
Full bodied, quite thick for a BA stout, very smooth silky mouthfeel.
A little boozy, but seriously tasty stuff!

Pint can, another in a long line of imperial stouts from AleSmith that I usually enjoy. It is time to see about this one. Snifter catches the pour, black body of course with a descending head of tan foam. A considerable amount of coconut in the nose with some chocolate and grain. The taste, oh my, this is good. Vanilla in front of everything else, chocolate , some boozy bourbon, a bit of caramel, malt, coffee and marshmallows. Tasty as always, considerably sweet and rich, up there with their best.

Canned 5/3/24, drunk 7/27/25.
Clear, I think. Dark. Medium-sized, tan head.
Noticeable bourbon in the nose is sweet and round and gains a fruitiness as it mixes with the tasteful vanilla. No alcohol, fairly malty, though does smell like it could be in the sweet side.
Rich, malty, quite barrel-forward and an absolute ton of vanilla, mixing with the fudgey malts to give a creamy marshmallow and vanilla shake impression. For a vanilla shake, it's well-done. But it is sweet, despite the bourbon. Maybe could use an additional six months to a year to dry out some more.
