This is the Fellowship's Golden Tripel - Sunlit Serenity - aged in a Jamaican white rum barrel.
Hints of pear, honey and allspice compounded by a touch of coconut and warming rum. Lovely!

Bottle from da Fellowship. I did the special handshake. Aroma is not particularly rum led. It's bitter. Woody. Earthy. Malty. Golden. A slight opaque effect. Thin bubbly translucent white head forms a band (i.e. a ring, not a Plastic Bertrand tribute act). Flavourwise though, we do get sweet rum, alongside sweet candied fruit. A sour edge. The sweetness is the centrepiece. There is some boozieness that adds another element rather than being a distraction. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Great stuff. Big and fruity. Sweetness and booze. Bur it all works.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy orange, nose is caramel, sugar, white grape, toffee, bit of pineapple, taste is similar, zesty, a touch of funk. Wouldn't have guessed this was rum!
