This is the fellowships quad, aged in a mysterious creme brulee barrel, which is something to do with the maple spirit industry across the pond
A mild lactic tartness, atop very sweet and woody maple notes.

Bottle from the Fellowship. Aroma is boozy, barrel-aging led. Underlying dark fruit, dark dough, possibly maple. Clear dark amber. Thin foamy off-white head. Sour. Boozy. Berries. Jammy. Some vestigial sweetness in the tail-end. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent. Another barrel-aged beer where I'd really like to try the original to see how much impact the process has had on the finished product. Presumably a metric buttload. Still, enjoyable.
