We took Steam Machine's Saison Classique 2024, foraged a load of elderflower, and let it do its thing.
Saison Classique 2024 has delicate notes of hay, herbal bitterness, and is crisp and refreshing, but with Belgian complexity.
The elderflower adds no surprises!

Bottle from me subscription. Aroma is crisp - combines vinous notes with the more floral elderflower. Slightly opaque gold. Thin bubbly translucent white head soon almost entirely disappears. Initial tart bitterness. Vinous. Herbal. Then a wave of elderflower sweetness sweeps through. Bitterness lingers into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Not keen on this. Just way too sweet.
