Cask at Egham Beer Fest Summer 24. Aroma is fruity. And big. Hazy dull gold. Thin foamy translucent white head recedes to the rim. Sweet fruit with a light resinous edge. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice.

Cask at The Ealing Beer Festival 2024, Ealing, London. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a healthy bubbly white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit taste and aroma. A pleasant sweetish easy drinking IPA from Pentrich.

Keg draught at the Craftsman, Warwick. Light yellow gold, muddy hazy with a decent little white head. Grapefruit, pineapple, gooseberry in the aroma. Smells a little like an IPA by numbers, albeit a good one. Taste is much improved: Sweet but not overly so, with notes of tinned pineapple. Some impressive bitterness rests on the tongue toward the finish. Medium body, medium to heavy spritzy carbonation. I haven't had a Pentrich beer in a while and I forgot how good they are.

Can (6.5% ABV) from House Of Trembling Madness. Murky golden/bronze body with a thick off-white head. No visible carbonation. Fair my lacing. Aroma of underripe melon, Thai basil and grapefruit. Flavour of lime chutney, bay leaf and lemon sponge. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A tangy, tasty IPA, but (for me) it’s not from Pentrich’s top drawer.

Keg at The Rake, Borough Market. Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, light herb. Flavours of lemongrass, grapefruit, bitter lemon. Lots of bitter hops in the finish. Good stuff.
