Handpull cask at the Dandy Cock Ale House, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Light to mid-brown,not particularly translucent with a thick beige/khaki head. Dark malts aroma with notes of smoke and smoked meats. Sweet taste, quite hea y for a mild, more sweaty deluxe meat character. Finishes meatily. Medium body, soft to nil carbonation. A hard sell.

Cask at Egham Beer Fest Summer 24. Aroma is low key- malts. Chocolate. Straining. Darkest (darkest) brown. Frothy foamy light beige head. Medium bitter. Coffee and charcoal. Berry edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Polite.
