16 oz. can from Total Wine - Greenville, SC. Pours a clear dark root beer color with ruby highlights and a large beige head with very good retention. Minimal spots of lacing. Dark malt aroma. Straightforward dark malt flavor with a hint of coffee and dark bittering chocolate notes. Slightly boozy finish. Heavier than average body. Just right carbonation. More bitterness as it warms. Well made but not memorable.

Excellent porter, dry and roasty, with lingering notes of bakers chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit, backed up by hints of caramel and anise, with a lingering roasted bitterness on the finish. Easy drinking and delicious.

Sampled from a can this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dry, roasty, dusty and woody. The flavor was dry, roasty and woody with a coffee note. Long finish. Medium body.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a ok roast and bitter bakers chocolate. Flavor is more roast and char with bakers chocolate. Nothing is over the top but for the style I would say this is still a decent beer. It's a roasty, slightly charred porter with nothing really wrong with it but also nothing to make it outstanding.

Brown with a creamy to frothy tan head. Roasted grain aroma, coffee. Taste is mildly bitter up front, increasingly burnt at the finish. Hint of milk chocolate sweetness lingers on the tongue afterwards. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good.
