Cask by stillage at One Inn The Wood, Petts Wood on 5th January 2024. Almost impenetrably black and pale tan foam foam spot lacing. Rich coffee roast malt aroma. Roasty malts in-mouth with tangy fruits and coffee. A finish of both flavours. Light to medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a small cream head and good lacing. A simple aroma of roasted malts. In the mouth the immediate sensation is the smooth and velvety texture. Flavour is dark fruits, particularly plums and cherries with milk chocolate and hints of coffee and liquorice. Alcoholic strength shows through in the finish. Rich and lovely.
