CLUB release #41
Synth-Hops - Magnum|CitraT90|Chinook|Strata
Music pairing – Moonrunner83
Visual pairing – Say Anything… (1989)
...It is the simplicity of Cameron Crowe’s Say Anything story that inspired the recipe and it’s all pilsner malt that results in the malt flavour getting out of the way of the plentiful Synth-hop aromas and flavours. Positively Lloyd Dobler!

440ml can. Hazy orange gold, white head. Aroma of orange and grapefruit, pine, mango. Taste it feels like one of those no coast IPAs, bit of a mix of NE and West Coast - there's orange and grapefruit, piney resin, but also some sweet juicy mango, a little citrusy bitterness as well. This feels like a well balanced IPA, one that's right up my street.

Bottle from the brewery subscription. Aroma has citrus, nettles, spice, underlyingsweetness. Cloudy-opaque pale orange. Foamy translucent white head soon recedes. Medium-heavy bitter. Resinous. Citrus... vitamin-esque. Latterly develops sugary sweetness, but really in the tail-end. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice. The closest I've had from this brewery that's an IPA which isn't a NEIPA/Hazy.
