Shared at the October 2024 PS tasting, 10/12/24. Black, thin tan head, average retention. Aroma of coffee, coffee syrup, caramel, roast, ash. Taste is coffee, roast, clay, chocolate, caramel. Well balanced.

Can at Joe's. Pours black, nose is huge coffee, roasted, chocolate, taste is similar, bitter, little thin for the abv.

Brew Export Advent Calendar... catching up....day 7? I dunno. Aroma combines fruity berries with espresso and dark chocolate. Dark and glossy. Foamy tan head. Medium-heavy bitter. Coffee. Cacao. Liquorice. Berry edge. Medium bodied. Oily. Flat carbonation. Long astringent finish. Big Impy, the coffee adds rather than distracts.

5 ounce at the brewery - this is a seriously coffee-forward imperial stout - quite dry for the strength - intensely roasty, with strong but not overpowering or abrasive coffee character (this was conditioned on coffee beans) - nice balance of bitterness, roast, and earthy malt character - finish has some vanilla sweetness and lingering coffee - I dig it.
