Towering off-white head over very carbonated ochre-golden beer, slightly veiled and drawing lacerings. Spices' explosion upon opening. Meadow flowers, hedgerows, chewing gum. Wild yeasts apparent. Mix of sweet, herbal-bitterish and very strange flavours, herbs and weeds, wild yeasts. Slightly sticky feel. Medium bodied, well carbonated, oily. "Interesting" - which defines Fantôme & Dany. Txs to Stef!

So good! Everything about this is great. A Tripel with Dany's special spice trademark. Apparently the name means "a fool or ignoramus" in French but it's also the nickname of a slow-moving bird in Wallonia. 45th Fantôme.

Hazy dark golden colour. Nose of ripenfruit, peach, citrus, even some papaya and mango. Peppery, herbal. Sweet, juicy and herbal bitter. Great beer!

Bottle. Color: Hazy amber, off-white head. Aroma: Yeasty, malty, fruity esters. Taste: Floral blossom, fruity (pear, apricot, hints of overripe banana), yeasty notes. Malty. Spicy notes of grey pepper coming in after a few seconds, which displace most fruit. Hoppy backbone. Long lasting dry-ish finish. Not your average Tripel, but a good Tripel the Fantôme way. Medium body, average carbonation. Moderate sweet, light bitterness.
