375ml bottle [#742]. Jet black colour with no head to speak of, just a layer of macropore, brown bubbles on top. Chocolately, dark malty, woody and slightly vinous fruity, minimally peaty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, oak, hints of blue grapes, red wine, some caramel, whiffs of morello. Taste is vinous fruity, woody and chocolately, dark malty, mildly peaty, notes of blue grapes, oak, hints of morello, bramble, dark chocolate, subtle peaty basic layer; minimally warming, alcoholic finish, well hidden alcohol overall. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously slightly dry (due to the woody aspects) palate, fine, flat carbonation. Surprisingly fruity, fairly complex (not on the malty side, though), well balanced - a bit like liquid, red wine flavoured dark chocolate.

Bottle, second(?) Abstract Barrel Limited Edition after Smokeland. Aged in Peated Islay Whisky Barrels for one year, and finished with second ageing in red wine barrels for 6 months. Color: Black, no head. Aroma: Peaty, vinuous. Taste: Full body. No carbonation. Bit sirupy. Nice and complex combination of peat, red wine, notes of roasted malt, dark fruit, caramel. Bit boozy, Whiskey, warming mouthfeel. Once again a nice slow sipper to fully enjoy.
