Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark red, almost brown, with fine light cream foam. Aroma is pretty malty and caramel, candy. Body partially dense, but fairly sticky, with weak, soft carbonation. Taste is intensely sweet, though with significant oxidation. Final is obviously still very sweet, and with a strong phenolic feeling.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to Colin. A mostly clear deep amber coloured pour with a lasting loose beige head. Aroma is sweet, brandy snap sugars, fig jam, gooey raisin loaf, sherry. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, sticky vinous fruits, sherry, dessert wine, apricot jam, peach, sticky brown sugars. Maybe a little too sweet. Palate is sticky sweet, oily, mellow carbonation.

Bottle at home, from an online peddler, 19/09/22. Mahogany brown with a decent beige cap that veers edgewards. Nose is dried fruit rinds, toasted brown sugars, vinous, sherry hint, fruit cake. Taste comprises toffee, dried fruit rinds, dates, sticky toffee pudding, molasses, brown sugar melt, oak, booze tunes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid well balanced barley wine is life.

Bottle, thanks to my father. Color: Lightly hazy copper, beige head. Aroma: Caramel, dark fruit, hints of red fruit. Taste: Dark fruit, hints of red fruit, caramel, malty, floral hop notes. Over moderate sweet, moderate to over moderate bitter, lightly tart. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Bit sirupy. Long lasting floral hopbitter finish. Very nice.
