A full bodied stout (no pun intended!) Notes of caramel, bourbon biscuit and a gentle bitter finish.

On tap at Kissingate's Taproom, Horsham, West Sussex. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, dark fruit taste and aroma. Quite rich, decent enough effort.

Cask at Pig's Ear. Near opaque dark brown beer, thin pale tan head. Light and fairly dry palate, modest fine carbonation. Tangy chocolate malts. Modest ripe fruits. A fairly dry finish. Tastes pretty good but the palate is a little flaccid and too dry for my taste.

Half pint @ the brewery. Head is no real. Colour is dark, opaque. Aroma is roasted tones, coffee, cocoa, dark dried fruits, plums. Taste is medium malty base, roasted tones, mellow dark fruits, coffee, cocoa, dry on the palate, long lasting bitterness, soft carbonation, good one, enjoyed for sure.
