An overdose evening on hazy ipas. Because that is what you can find that is new. A 12 oz can coming from a Total Wine, no idea which one. I have a snifter receiving the pours tonight, this one is a medium yellow-gold with an appreciated head of almost white foam. Tropical in scent with bits of pine and citrus. The taste follows along in sync. Mango, citrus, white bread, malt, enough hops to register and certainly more sweet than bitter. Not as good as the last NE style I had and possibly better than the next one. I think I am wearing out.

Big ass (19.2oz) can from Luekens Wine & Spirit, Seminole. Mid-gold/orange colour, little bit hazy, a small white head. Sugary aroma, smelled of sugared dried mango and some citrus, but the minutiae of the aroma aren’t discernible. Mostly sweet taste, more mango, light bitterness mid-sip to the finish. Thin body for the ABV, and less carbonation than I was expecting. All in all it’s kind of disappointing, it’s nice enough but for a DIPA I would’ve liked a lot more of everything.

Not bad but I thought the hop elements were a bit restrained. Tropical fruit and resin were there though. Resinous palate, a bit sticky/spicy. Balanced sorta in the malt profile, not sweet, not overly dry. Its OK.
