Blended sour ale and anniversary ale aged in oak and bourbon barrels
Six years of brewing wildly complex beers is an occasion to celebrate. In Annuel tradition, this senary ale’s inspiration comes from The Bruery’s Anniversary old ale and solera aging methods. The Anniversary base induces an artful blend with our sour quad, imperial sour blonde, wheatwine-style ale, Belgian-style dark strong ale, American strong ale, and solera Anniversary ales aged in oak and bourbon barrels for a unique finish.

Bottle from the club: pours mahogany with a beige head. Aroma is woodiness, butterscotch, hefty maltiness. Taste is somewhat acidic, a bit on the sour end. Not too sweet. Pleasant to drink. Alcohol is well covered. Good.
