Saison du Rosier is our homage to Saison DuPont and other classic Belgian farmhouse beers. Much as we love them though, Saison du Rosier has a personality all its own.

On tap at Cellador, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of gently sweet honey-like character, rustic saison yeast, and a bit of funk. Flavour is vibrant, with lots of rustic saison yeast, gentle honey-like sweetness, and lots of bugs. Complex and elegant, expressing the best of the mixed cultures they're using. Excellent.

Deep straw color. Massive white head. Very lively carbonation in the glass. Funky yeasty notes, nice barrel character, slightly tart nose with some bready notes and citrus and mint underneath. Excellent nose. Mouth is a bit more tart than I was expecting, nice barrel character, excellent funkiness, modest bitterness and assertive carbonation. I got a touch of green apple on the palate which is unusual for the style, but it worked well. The barrel character is more pronounced than usual, but it works very well. Superbly balanced. The tartness and barrel character lingers and a bit of tingling bitterness. Superb.

20250804, Oct 2024 bottle, doggo photo! wow can't believe I first had this at a jwb share, +.40 for delicious soft dry funk, none of the usual olive notes I usually get on cellador beers. Really nice American Saison du point vibes.
