16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, opaque, silky layer of beige foam, light lacing. Roasty aroma, bitter, sweet. Taste is burnt toast, roasty, heading into porter territory. Light lingering bitterness. More bitterness than expected for a brown ale.

16 oz can. Aroma is soft chocolate with mild roasted nuts. Flavor is the same. Mild hop bitter finish. I have to remind myself that this is a session brown ale that is 3.7%. That said, the body is still lean. Good for a session ale.

On tap at RidgeWood, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium tan head. Aroma has dry bready malt and crusty rye bread. Flavour is very dry, with bready malt, crusty the bread, and a bunch of aggressive carbonation that's too much for the style. It's alright.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a moderate creamy tan head. Aroma is floral with light toffee/caramel and chocolate and nut notes. Approaching med body. Flavor is pretty much the aroma, but the floral seems to be lost. Malty, but rather dry/lightly bitter - even a little astringent. Very tasty for a light ABV.
