Tasting Notes
Decadent caramel, molasses, and dark chocolate notes swirl throughout the sip. Crème brûlée undertones add to the opulence while subtle whispers of barrel char and oaky vanilla linger on the palate. And all that flavor keeps the body-warming 15.41% ABV remarkably quaffable.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a moderate tan head that didn't last very long. Aroma of bourbon, kandi, treacle. Quite full in body. Definitely not dry. Heat stands in for hop to fight the malt. Not all that successfully either. Lots of bourbon, vanilla and kandi. Definitely a sipper rather than a quaffer. Good flavor.
I still love taxman and I'm glad they still got it! Delicious super barrel forward and finish Belgian style stout. Light bodied, hints of molasses and tons of dark dark chocolate.

12oz @ Phill's. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: oak, some sweetness, a bit of meaty notes. Taste: along the same lines, boozy, moderately sweet. Overall: good one.

Side by side with two other variants, 12oz cans from Tavour. Near black pour, ring of beige head. Whiskey aroma on top of roasty malts, prunes and a touch of Belgian yeast, chocolate. Taste brings plenty of warmth, sweet, malty, pit fruit. Barrels dominate, and it works really well with the base beer.
