Bittle shared at Dave's deal with the devil again tasting. Many thanks. A thick chewy dark brown coloured pour with a reluctant halo of tan head. Aroma is semi sweet. Oily, toasted coconut, boozy bourbon, intense. Tangy fruit. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, oily, bourbon barrel white raisin, chocolate truffle, oily, orange oil, numbing oils. Intense. Palate is semi sweet, oily, Warming alcohol, mellow carbonation. Oily. Intense.

19th June 2026Dealing With The Devil again tasting at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman. Near opaque dark brown beer, short lived and small bubbly pale tan head. Airy smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Tangy dark fruits. Light coconut offsets the big bourbon. Some alcohol spice on the finish. Hard to tell it's a quad but, bloody rich and tasty.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is caramel, raisin, date, vanilla, coconut, taste is sweet, toffee, caramel, vanilla, cola, coconut. Not sure if its the coconut or the barrel overpowering the base beer here. 8/9/8_8/8

Batch 2 - Double Oaked - Soft, malty and slightly syrupy with some intense barrel notes, vanilla, prunes, figs, raisins, hints of quady yeastiness, warming alcohol and vinous notes. Quite tasty, complex and balanced, not your typical quad.

The price was sus up until I started pouring it and it poured jet black. Quad packing a lot of heat flavor wise. Caramel nutty hints of spice and oak. I think my first taste of Calumet farms bourbon, delish. Lots of wet barrel vibes. Reminds me of langst

Waxed, capped 375 from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a slight tan head. Aroma of bourbon and treacle. Full bodied. Not dry, but not sticky. Heat adds some bitterness. Bourbon, vanilla, wood and a light chocolate note - malt seems treacleish. Wood persists. Heat is not obnoxious. Good ale.
