[2023] 375mL bottle. Pours murky mahagony with minimal white head. Aroma has dark cherry, raisins, brown sugar, molasses. Flavour has sweet cherry, cherry pits, raisins, brown sugar, molasses, brown bread malts. Lots of boozy warmth. Very intense, perhaps a bit too harsh, but there's a lot going on and it's fun to drink.

Vintage 2023. 375mL bottle, pours a clear dark amber / burgundy with a small tan head. Aroma has very deep caramel, bready malt, and plenty of alcohol. Flavour is rich, with lots of treacly toffee, bready caramel, plenty of booze, and a touch of syrupy character. Treacly toffee and a thick bready caramel malt finish with plenty of booze. This has tons of depth. I'm surprised how nice this is.

2023 bottle. Medium brown, it's clear, and the head died down quite quickly. The aroma has fig newton, toffee, and it certainly comes across like it's going to be strong. The palate is definitely strong. The prevailing alcohol cuts across toffee, caramel notes. It's certainly booze, not all that complex, some decent sugars. Quite burly, but not bad.

(2023) Cherry, prune, brown sugar, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Medium brown with minimal head. Very sweet prune, raisin, cherry, brown sugar, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grass/fresh hay and alcohol flavor. Great body and balance.

Poured up on tap at Kuhnhenn where it exhibits a clear deep copper colored body that supports really no head at all. The muted and mild aroma offers up date like dark fruity esters and a thin ribbon of caramel. The taste delivers smooth integrated sweet caramel and date to plum like sweet dark fruity esters and then moving into a modest boozy warmth. Smooth and not trying to be more than it is. Fun sipper.

Tap at Taphouse, Copenhagen. Clear copper colour with tiny off-white head. Sweetish rye-bready aroma. Medium-bodied. Rye-bready and alcoholic flavour. Very simple and boozy. Warming.

Waxed, capped 375 from Tavour. Pours mahogany with a transient smear for head. Aroma of dark roasty malt - or slightly toasted pumpernickel or ? with a chocolate note. Full bodied. Very malty. Some heat. Some chocolate notes. Mostly very intense, maybe super toffee, malt with persisting, but not super intense heat. Really good overall - clearly it is greater than the sum of its parts.
