This true-to-style Märzen was lagered in our temperature controlled American Oak Foeder for 3 months for subtle warming oak notes layered into the classic maltiness associated with Märzen. We smell & taste: rich malt, freshly baked black bread, sun-dried raisins, light caramel & subtle oak

16 ounce can from Tavour. Orange copper color. Frothy beige head. Toasted malt aroma hints at toffee, baked bread and subtle oak. Flavor is toasted bread, mild oak, dark currants, earthy malt and grassy hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice balance and overall flavor.

16 oz can shared by Justino, 9/21/23. Unclear amber color, beige head. Bread, caramel, and earth. Light spice. Fairly sweet and full of malt flavor. Good beer.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear amber with a huge beige/tan head Malty aroma. Heading for more than med body. Flavor is quite malty with some Noble hop and hints of dark fruit and perhaps nuts. Not towards dry. Approaching moderate bitterness. Tasty toffeeish thing.

Draft pour at Elder Pine. Poured a clear, light, clear malty orange-brown with a medium sized white head. Aroma was light toasted malts, some woody notes. Sweet caramel notes, with some bitterness. Crisp, autumn beer - really hit the right mood of the season.
