Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Yeast and spice aroma with light fruity esters. Fruity esters and yeasty flavor with spice and backing malt. Medium bodied. Fruity esters linger with yeast and spice.

Bottle from Epicurean Trader in Mission/SF, drunk after a fabulous Alaskan salmon with Cajun spice and caramelized onions. Dark golden and lightly hazy, moderate but lasting head. Spiced citrusy nose, very warming caramel flavor with earthy hop bitterness & mild acidity balancing chewy toffee. Wow, excellent big one with nice chewy yeast esters and very smooth bitterness.

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours dark translucent gold with a large creamy white head which did a little lacing. Aroma of coriander, yeast, and perhaps spelt. Med body. Flavor is dusty dry grain suggesting spelt, with some yeast and very light coriander/spice. Bitter in a non-biting way. Finishes yeasty/dusty (flavor/feel). Decent.
