Sour Ale Aged In Oak Barrels With Plums & Vanilla Beans

Our passion for local agriculture runs deep. The stone fruit we sourced for this exceptional ale was grown at Blossom Bluff Orchards in California’s Central Valley. Aged for three years in oak barrels, this tart farmhouse ale represents the pinnacle of our farm-to-barrel craft. Notes of candied plum and earthy umeboshi blend seamlessly with aromas of rich dried dates and tree-ripened jujubes. Savor with friends over a seasonal meal prepared with the same care and craft.

Can shared by Tom, thanks! Pours a slightly hazy copper with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sour plum and light fruit with a bit of earthy oak backing. Flavor has earthy and tart plum with some oak and earthy grain backing.

Draft. Pink beer with a cream head. Tart aroma. Sour and plum flavor. Medium bodied. Sour and plum linger with light oak.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent with a foamy white head. The ale's color is a sort of dilute mix of reddish berry colors. Not quite med body. Flavor is lightly tart plum pit. Dry. Tartness serves for bitter. Oak astringency is noticeable. Refreshing.
