Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours very dark brown with a Guinness pour that quickly turned to a large, foamy tan head. Aroma of cinnamon and chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is cinnamon, chocolate, something very like marshmallow, and a dark almost burnt malt. Not dry; not sticky. Heat and cinnamon stand in for bitter. Smores it is - with cinnamon sprinkled!

32oz crowler pours with a deep dark mahogany colored body that supports a lasting tan head of foam. The aroma pulses with chocolate from the start with thinner notes of sweetness like marshmallows and then a bit of cinnamon like spiciness. The taste is similar where big bold chocolate goodness runs the whole experience. It's like dark cocoa nibs and some deluxe milk chocolate swirling around in there. It takes a bit of concentration to experience beyond the chocolate to reveal slender cinnamon and a sweet vaguely marshmallow character. This is a fun beer where the ABV is so well hidden it seems wrong. This comes across as a 8.5% stout. Nice stuff.
