700ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of bramble, faint green coffee beans, something nutty. Taste is liquorice, tobacco, prunes. Quite earthy. Good old-fashioned porter.

Cask at Friends of Ham, Leeds, 20/02/20. Black with a decent tan head. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, charr dried fruits. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, hint of liquorice, roasted bite, ashen tones, dried fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Decent.

Cask at friends of ham Leeds. A opaque dark black brown coloured pour with a dense creamy tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, salt, liquorice, woody, bark. Flavour is composed of rich burnt cake, brown sugars, liquorice, bitter roast, tangy dried fruits. Flavour is composed of very robust ashy roast, woody bark, burnt cake.. Palate is semi sweet, full and smooth, creamy, moderate carbonarion. Good.

On cask at the Fell Bar, Kendal. Appearance - opaque brown to black. Lively off white creamy head. Nose - soft and creamy chocolate that also has a bitterness. Some hint of raisins. Taste - more dark and creamy chocolate. A hint of dried fruit. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Balanced bitterness on the finish. Overall - lovely stuff.

ABV: 6.8%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark malt, light sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, burnt, roasted, dark malt Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190123]

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with an off-white creamy-frothy head. It's slightly milky, and a slightly sweet stout with light roasted malts.
