Another exciting brewery debut for Mash '24 is the mighty Mortalis. These guys don't do things by halves so when we starting chatting about a collab we knew we had to go mad. This is the most heavily fruited sour beer that we have ever brewed and it's a tropical fruit blast. Pineapple, passion fruit and mango by the trailer load and conditioned on organic vanilla from Madagascar and a touch of salt. This is a luxurious slice of summer that really feels like a sweet tropical fruit smoothy with a roundness from the vanilla and a refreshing salty kick.

Hazy gold with little to no head and a soft fruity aroma. Sherbet-like mouthfeel, zesty with tart fruity notes and a tart salty finish.

Draught No head whatsoever by the time the beer arrived at the table. Veiled pale golden beer. Passionfruit obvious in the nose. Other fruity esters, salicylic acid. Again salicylic acid, mixed with powdersugar and citric acid. There is definitely a mineral component. Again some passion fruit and fruitacids. Light body, certainly for 6%; not very carbonted, refreshing. Flavours are allright, but it gives a bit lame impression.

Keg at Brewdoge Tower Hill, 03/01/25.
Golden blonde topped with a thin white cap.
Nose is tangy citric shreds, raw pineapple, balsa wood, light green berry must.
Taste comprises lemon rind, lychee, hedgerow, grass, damp cloth.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced puckering edge. Decent enough refresher.

(Far right) tropical, almost salty, apple skin aftertaste.

440ml can, a fruited Gose but they insist it's a Berliner Weisse as usual - the only style of sour beer Garage believes to exist. Aroma of passionfruit, pineapple, mango. Taste is the same mostly passionfruit and pineapple, some mango, some vanilla sweetness, noticeable saltiness (hence me thinking this is more of a Gose). Medium bodied, tart, sour. Not so into this style any more but it's fine.
