330ml bottle. Opalescent, mahogany colour with weak ruby shimmer and average, frothy to creamy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty and slightly yeasty fruity, minimally spicy aroma, hints of malt lozenge, rock sugar, treacle, dark caramel, dried fruit, raisin, sultana, a touch of dark toffee and chocolate; a weak, peppery spiciness among the fruity aspects, whiffs of candied orange peel. Taste is minimally sugary, dark malty with low residual sweetness, slightly yeasty fruity and mildly bitter hoppy, hints of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a touch of rock sugar, treacle, hints of dried fruit, raisin, sultana; minimally dry, papery and peppery spicy as well as minimally alcoholic finish.
Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously minimally dry, almost a tad papery palate, medium, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation.
Homogeneous, clean, a bit more condensed than intense - pretty decent

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, yeasty notes, dried fruits, plum, lightly spicy with a hint of cocoa and candy sugar. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter, body is medium. Fine beer, nicely malty with dried fruits and Belgian candy/yeast.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van mout en kruiden. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet, toffee en rozijnen.
