Cask at cloisters. 5.2%. Pours hazy purple, thick pink-tinged head. Aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, light cream. Taste has a sour tang, blackcurrant. Faint wheat note. Sour tangy finish.

Cask at The Stockbridge Tap. Murky deep pink body with a bright pink head. Light lacing. Aroma of sour raspberries and rhubarb. Flavour of zingy cranberries and a hint of tonic water. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. One of the weirdest looking beers I’ve tried. A bit too tart for me.

8th July 2015
Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Cloudy darkish red beer, bubbly pink head. Palate is light and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Good blackberry and raspberry fruits. Blackcurrant? Only a little! Mild tang and a mild floralness. Little candy sherbet before a light finish reveals modest bubblegum esters. Nice job!

Cask at Six Deg North. It pours cloudy purple with a decent pinkish head. The nose is soft, juicy, berry skin, berry yoghurt and soft banana. The taste is smooth, very juicy, big blackcurrant action, jammy, lightly tart, ripe banana, clove, berry yoghurt, creaminess, clove and banana smoothie with a dry, fruity finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth and very juicy indeed. Tasty.

Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours deep purple, nose is blackcurrant, banana, taste is huge fruit, sweet, tart.
