Black IPA. Full, rich, hoppy and "as dark as the inside of a black bear". Huge flavour from this IPA with a dark twist. Lots of bitterness from the hops to balance the sweet malt that comes with darker beers. Unlike most other black styles this still has dominant hop aromas and far less of the coffee flavours associated with stouts and porters. ABV: 6.7% Ingredients: water, barley, wheat, oats hops, yeast. Suitable for vegans.

1/6/2019. Bottle from 3at3 Ely, shared at the Krsko GP beer share. Pours almost black with a large off-white head. Aroma of caramel, tropical fruit, hops, roasted malt, chocolate, mango and grapefruit. Light to moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery and oily texture, above average carbonation.

ABV: 6.7%. Cloudy dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, wood, light licorice, moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, wood, medium dry, fruity hops - pine, light licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20181020]

Tried at BeerHeadz Nottingham. Off black colour with a pale tan head. Aroma slight citrus and roasted malty chocolate. Taste light tang and balanced bittersweet. Full body.
