Brown Ale is brewed with English Ale yeast. In the English tradition, we use only English Fuggle hops, which are low in bitterness and produce a mild floral hop taste. The complexity is created mainly by the Chocolate and Dark Chocolate malted barley. Roasted coffee flavor with hints of chocolate and nutty or nutmeg finish on the back of the tongue. This brew has the widest spectrum of flavors of any Brown Ale on the market. Pairs great with steaks and sautés.

Bottle. Pours a clear light brown with a tan head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma is full of sweet nuts with backing grainy and light chocolate. Flavor is has a good amount of nuts with notes of bread and hay.

12 oz bottle Pours out dark amber brown. Topped with a small off white head. A nice aroma nut like a nut brown ale the tast is about the same. Not to bad for a NM brew.

This starts out as a good looking brown ale. Dark brown color with hints of red, light tan head which is thick and tight but somewhat fleeting. Sweet malt aroma with a sharp edge to it that puts off a bit. Sweet malt flavor with some toasted marshmallow and a bit of chocolate at the edge. Smores? Smooth, a tad thin but overall, a refreshing and drinkable session ale. Thanks to Whaleman for sending this!

Bottle Pours a deep red-brown with litle head that is a very light tan. This very quickly dissipates leaving thin spotty lacing. Aroma of dark malts, brown sugar, and hay. Very mild and sweet flavor. Can’t detect the hops at all. Finishes a little smokey. A bit thin, not particularly complex. Tasty, very easy going down, and though the ABV is not listed, it tastes quite low.

This is a very good Brown Ale, my sister brought some back from a trip out west. Beer is always the best souvenir, it''s a liquid post card. Pours a light chestnut color with a thin beige head. Pleasant roasty nut aroma. Flavor of brown sugar, nuts and hops with a good dry finish. A good New Mexican beer.
