This year's autumnal ale was brewed with pale malt from our good friends @DeerCreekMalt, a dash of triticale and our favorite malt friend this season, Munich. It was hopped with Saaz, Opal and a bit of our attic aged blend. This little Saison has all those classic yeasty fruit notes on the nose. Notes of pithy orange citrus, herbal hop funk, slightly toasted rye bread, and those classic Saison peppercorns.

16 ounce can from brewery. Honey gold pour is topped by a massive, rocky white head. Bready malt aroma hints at light toast. Earthy and mildly yeasty. Flavor is bready malt. Notes of wood, yeast and funk. Backend features spice and citrus. Tasty and very drinkable.

Can from the brewery. Big, foamy, steady, white head. Orange-tan body, looks unfiltered. Pleasant lemon-lime, mild sour aroma. Mellow ABV keeps it drinkable. Kind of has that aged hop tone, earthiness. Dry, well attenuated body. Good.

Can from the source: pours light copperish with white head. Aroma is yeasty, cardboard. Taste is malty, somewhat sweet. Tastes like a mediocre combination of a marzen and a saison. Not a fan, even though I thought Summer Friend was great.
