Gratton's Gold is our famous session cider. Known across Devon as a "Session Cider" this enchanting blend of our oldest varieties gives a medium taste with a full flavour. This still cider is our most traditional, but our most accessible - perfect for a festival, a party, or for any occasion where you might have a cider fan (or 2!) who enjoy traditional Devon cider.

Mr Gratton was a worker on the estate who was famous for his love of cider. And when pay day came along he would famously enjoy his "earnings" to the fullest! Here's to all those cider lovers - and Mr Gratton! Cheers!

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 07/06/2025.
Hazed orange with a good sized head as it goes for a cider clearing over time to the edge.
Nose is funky, earthy, orchard woods, tangy apples.
Taste comprises apple skins, tannins, hedgerow, light acidic tickle.
Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, light drying close.
Okay drop if no show stopper.

31/5/2025. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours hazy orange gold with a short lasting frothy white head. Aroma is juicy apple, fleshy, baked. Medium sweetness, nice tangy tartness, slight salty edge. Foamy carbonation, too much. Nice long tangy drying finish. Liked it but too fizzy.

500ml bottle from Greendale Farm shop, Exeter. Slightly hazed orangey golden colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of ripe fruity apple. Taste is sweetish, apple, fruity, fleshy, with some citric acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, medium dry acidic finish. Quite drinkable

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. [GBBF no. 4 Cider] Clear yellow color, no head. Aroma is very similar to apple juice. Taste is too, applejuice with a slightly more dry finish. Actually pretty nice as I like apple juice in general. The light tart, dry finish makes it a pretty decent cider imo. I like it.
