On tap at Beenhouwer Gent, Belgie, Thursday 18th July 2019 en route back to Attenkirchen. Pours warm gold, white head, honey and golden syrup on what is a malty nose. Thick in the mouth, bitterness is there but is subdued. It's a good beer, not amazing, not complex but fine.

Double IPA by this IPA specialist in Wyoming, as part of their “rotational imperial India pale ale series”, tasted at Bar Beenhouwer, Ghent. Egg-white, membrane-lacing, medium thick, stable head, misty golden blonde robe with peachy hue. Aroma of stale orange juice, mango purée, damp marijuana, frying onions, granadilla, olive oil, overripe peach. Sweetish onset, juicy with mango, yellow kiwi and rambutan impressions, softish carb, full and creamy mouthfeel; doughy and soggy-biscuity malt sweet core drenched in luscious, tropical and somewhat dank, zesty hoppiness, lots of marijuana, mango and citrus juice notes, followed by a gin-like alcohol warmth. Typical DIPA in the hip and young New England idiom – and this brewery has proven before that this is something they truly excel at.

The Aromas are volatile blend of fresh melon Peach Hops and pale malt. Flavors are similar to nose but some Pine resin mixes in, lightly sweet more bitter with a little medicinal in the Finish. Good carbonation body. Decent beer.

Lata 33 CL del Lúpulo Feroz tomada en Belmonte 23..02..2019. (r58). Lote y fcpref ilegibles en fondo lata. Color amarillento anaranjado velado con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores maltosos y cereales con suaves afrutados y herbaceos lupulados maduros oleosos que se quedan algo secos al final. Cuerpo medio a intenso con buena sensación alcohólica. Cierta densidad. Bastante sabor. Bastante buena para repetir.
