An Imperial Milk Stout but with a twist. We start with a magnificent imperial English stout with strong chocolate and coffee flavours from the darker malts. There is little to no hop aroma but bitterness, from the malt and hops, is pronounced. We turn it into a milk stout by adding lactose (milk sugar) that makes the beer slightly sweeter and higher in mouth-feel. We then use chestnut and hazelnut extracts to give a bold, balanced nut edge to this great beer.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Brownish black colour with a minor off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, some lactose, mild hazelnuts as well as some slight smoked tones. Flavour is nutty, some condensed milk, mild nutty tones along with quite strong ashy and burnt tones. Also alcohol is showing a bit.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Black, minimal head. Aroma of hazelnuts and boiled milk. Very sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by boiked milk and caramel. Cloying and awkward, revolving around revolting boiled milk.

[ As West Coast Beersmiths Sooty ’n’ Nutty ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, milk chocolate, nutty, hazelnut, lacto. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hazelnut dusty, nutty, chocolate, milk chocolate, lacto, chestnut, dark malt.
