On tap. Pours completely black with a small off-white head. Sweet hard roasted malt in the nose - some dried fruit as well. Quite a good body, hard roasted sweet malts and again dark fruits. Subdued bitterness. Quite well made and definitely appears stronger than 5.5% ABV. 150810

Hand bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes soy sauce, roasted malt, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, sweer and roasted as well as lighter notes of soy sauce and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Handbottled, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours dark brown with a minimal tan head. Aroma is dark malty, caramelish and vague butterish. Nutty too. Liqourice. Dark breadish malty, mild chocolate note. Subdued fruity. Dark roasted malt and slight nutty finish.

Dark brown with a small beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, coffee and liquerice. Flavor had hard roasted malt, coffee, english liquerice and dark bitter chocolate. Nice one.
