Courtesy of Papsø
Ruby red color, dark. Very nice aroma of red grape wort, some wild strawberries too (smultron in Swedish; Bergman...) that reminds me of Strawberry Grape (Uva Americana in Italian, also Vitis Labrusca or Foxy Grape...), a very aromatic grape. Medium sweet, the strawberry flavor is still present; light acidity too, and a very light spicy touch; in the final there is less sweetness and some more alcohol. There is not much of a Mead here, but it’s a pleasant drink.

Bottle 18 cl. Courtesy of TheCheeseMan. Pours a clear deep red - really looks like red wine. Dry honey aroma with some evident alcohol. Medium body, sweet honey and berry notes, the red grapes are clearly there. I wonder if this is actually blended with red wine and not just matured on wine barrels? There’s a touch of butter in there that is not all too pleasant. The alcohol is rather subdued. 010810
