Appearance is oily black, a few fizzy bubbles but no head really. Aroma is lots of chocolate, coffee, maple, dark fruit, bourbon, vanilla, oaky hints, espresso, chocolate fudge, roast malt. Taste is sweet maple, chocolate, coffee, earthy malt, caramel, chocolate torte, spicy malt, bourbon, vanilla, earthy barrel, spicy chocolatey finish with maple syrup. Whisky barrel is prominent but still well-integrated. Very well-done.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Almost clear dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. A fairly light palate for the abv, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth rich dark malts, a good dark chocolate biscuit vibe. Earthy and strong coffee, pretty smooth. Light smooth finish. Tasty if nothing that I have not had before. Many times.

From a 375ml can on 29/8/2023. Pours a very deep brown with almost no head. Has a strong coffee nose with hints of maple. Delivers everything as described taste wise - masses of coffee, a big dash of maple sweetness and decent whack of bourbon booziness in the finish. Definitely a dessert beer, though the sweetness is tempered nicely by a sharp light roasty bitterness. The palate is syrupy, but less substantial that the 13.2% might suggest. Moderate carbonation. Really well done.

375ml can. Jet black colour with small, frothy, rapidly diminishing, brown head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, toffee, maple, some coffee and dark caramel. Taste is roasty and chocolately, dark malty and caramel malty, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, treacle, dark toffee, dark caramel, maple; minimally warming, alcoholic finish with a plum wine touch. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well balanced, very homogeneous - nice sipper.

375ml can @ Pien, Helsinki. Dry, roasty and sweetish syrupy with loads of coffee, hints of bourbon, some maple syrup and stingy earthiness. A bit unbalanced
