Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small head. Aroma is chocolate, some toasted bread and some sweet malty tones. Flavour is liquorice, some toffee, alcohol, quite evident bitterness along with quite strong dry wooden elements. A bit too much hops in an IS for me...

ABV: 14.0%. Clear dark dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white - beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, barrel, vanilla - maple. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, mapke, coffee, maple bitter, cocoa - chocolate, bourbon, wood, barrel. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20211016]

On tap at Mikkeller SF, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is loaded with bourbon barrels, vanilla, and a little maple syrup. Flavour is loaded with maple syrup, coffee and bourbon. Not sure I'm getting the rice but this is really lovely.
