Cask at Mr Grundys, Derby Pours a reddish shade of “bitter brown” with a creamy white head and good lacing. A subtle aroma of bready malts. In the mouth the main taste is dark fruits, but also malts, raspberries and spices – though not very pronounced for any of them. Finish is bitter and spicy. Overall, a bit bland, but quite nice. More an Irish Red than a Bitter by the way.

On Cask at Mr Grundy’s Derby - a ruby coloured beer, minimal head again, some fruitiness in the nose, but very bland in the flavour. In contrast to the previous one, this was almost water like.
